FULL PROGRAMMES

PACS has a full programme of events throughout the year.  Please click on the menu items below to see more information.  In addition we have an annual exhibition in August for all media, and our potters hold a separate exhibition in November (both in Petersfield).  Members who join before the end of May in any given membership year are eligible to participate.

We also have a mailing list where members can opt in to receive emails about events that other members are participating in.  You can opt in by updating your record in our membership system.  Click here to access the system and tick the box for receipt of emails about Local arts and crafts news.

WORKSHOPS

The workshop programme is organised by Alan Horgan.  As you can see from the programme shown here, we have 10 workshops arranged for this year. (We don’t generally hold them in December or peak summer and timing of Easter can sometimes have a bearing).

Workshops are held on Saturdays at the Triangle Centre in Liss, and run from 10:00am to 4:00pm.  Attendees are advised to bring refreshments and a packed lunch, as although there is a cafe on site, it is not generally open on a Saturday.

Workshops are advertised on this website well in advance. Members will be also be emailed (using the email address held by the membership secretary) when the booking facility is opening.  Bookings will also be open to the general public shortly afterwards, so getting on-line promptly to book is advised.

Fees for workshops are :-

Adult Member

£50.00

Junior Member

£25.00

Adult Non Member

£75.00

Junior Non Member

£37.50

Payment is via Paypal, using your PayPal account or you can use most debit or credit cards.

Attendees will be advised of materials to bring along. There may also be charges for materials provided by the tutor on the day.

Alan would welcome any ideas for future workshops or if you would be willing to run a workshop then please get in touch with Alan using the email address below.

DEMONSTRATIONS

The demonstration programme is organised by Louise Turpin.

Demonstrations usually take place on the last Thursday evening of the month at the Herne  Leisure Centre, Moggs Mead, Petersfield.  Entry to the events is free for members and guests are welcome for a token fee of £5, payable on the night  (unless stated otherwise in the promotion literature).

We have audio/visual equipment to amplify the speakers voice and give closeup’s of the tutors’ work on a display screen.

On-line events are hosted using the Zoom platform and the link is generally available for a few days after the live broadcast for the benefit of those who can’t make it on the night.  To participate in such events you will need the Zoom software installed on your device, and your device must have sound capability. A user guide for Zoom events can be found here.

Louise and a team of volunteers host the events and provide refreshments for a small donation.  If you would like to volunteer to assist with providing refreshments or helping with setting up and clearing the venue please get in touch with Louise using the email address below or visit your page in our membership system and tick the Teas Volunteer box.  Click here to access the membership system.

If you have ideas for demonstrations you would like to see, or if you would be willing to run a demonstration then please let Louise know.

Louise can be contacted using the email address below:-

LIFE DRAWING

The 2023/24 programme has now finished and George is taking a well earned break.  We hope to bring you a new programme in the late summer / early autumn.

Small individual tables, drawing boards and paper clips will be provided for your use, as will drawing materials. However, it’s always nice to bring your own favourites but do not rush out buying loads of stuff, unless you want to.

  • There will be paper for sale: White paper is 20p per A2 sheet, sugar paper 15p per A2 sheet.
  • There will be both male and female models.
  • The sessions will work well as a course or as individual sessions.

As there are very limited places we expect that these will go very fast. If you can not get in for PACS life drawing sessions George also runs his own life drawing sessions and year round drawing sessions based at Petersfield Community Centre. If your interested please contact George directly and he will send you the schedules.

George Spear has been running life drawing classes for PACS for several years. These take place on occasional Saturdays from 10am-1pm at the Liss Triangle Centre, with a short break half way.

George is a local artist living in Petersfield. He loves watercolour and printing. He is a member of Ochre Print Studio and was Chair of Petersfield Arts and Crafts Society for three years. He has been organising workshops and life drawing classes since 2009 and teaching life drawing for 10 years. Many of his students have returned year on year. It gives George great pleasure to see artists succeed, progress and share their enjoyment in a discipline that he gets so much out of himself, and he hopes that you will too.

There are 8 places available per session. Advance booking is essential.

Bookings must be made through George,  who can be contacted using his email address

If you have any queries please contact George directly using his email address:-

SKETCH-OUT DAYS - MEMBERS ONLY

The sketch-out programme is organised by Maria Yadegar and Louise Turpin.  The aim is to find interesting locations in the membership catchment area where groups of members can gather and create whilst enjoying a bit of social interaction too.  Sketch-out days are usually a morning or afternoon and run from late spring to early autumn.  Members need to make their own way to the venues, some of which are remote so taking your own refreshments is advised.  Information on exact location,  parking and nearest toilet facilities will be provided nearer the time.

Sketch-out days are exclusive to members and participation is free (unless stated otherwise –  there may be a charge for entry to a venue eg National Trust premises.  This will be clear on the joining details).

We are always on the lookout for venues.  If you can provide or recommend a location, please contact either
