Membership Information

PACS membership

To become a member of PACS you first of all need to be residing in the Petersfield area (within 15 miles or Petersfield as the crow flies). You also need to be actively involved in making art (both professional and amateur makers are welcome) and have a willingness to participate in coming to demos, taking part in exhibitions and above all getting to know other like-minded creative people.

How is PACS run?

PACS is run by a committee made up of volunteer members and depends entirely on these contributions of time and effort to keep going, so we would like to see all members taking their turn at some point.

joining in

All exhibiting members have to contribute their time in some way at the summer exhibition (a duty rota is issued) and a large proportion of members help in many roles throughout the year. Although we will understand if at times you are less able to be involved, there is an expectation that all members will offer their skills and time wherever they can. The society can only function if everyone takes part in some way and we all benefit from this joined effort.

events programme

Our programme is very varied with evening talks, artists’ demos, sketching days and opportunities to exhibit in a friendly and encouraging environment. New members always bring with them new ideas which help to keep PACS fresh and make it move in new directions.

Please Remember

If you are unsure as to your eligibility or have any other questions about membership please contact us.

Membership - costs and benefits

Membership costs £30 a year (January 1st to December 31st) for adults and £15.00 for Under 21s. Members joining on or after after May 31st pay £15.00 or £7.50 respectively and are still entitled to all member privileges but are not entitled to exhibit in the main exhibition in August.

The half year rate ends from 1st December, so anyone joining on or after this date will pay the full annual rate, but this will take their membership up to the end of the following December (effectively 13 months membership for the price of 12).  New members joining before Dec 1st will have to pay the half year rate and then renew at the full year rate during December.
