Linocut Printing Day, with an introduction to adding colour
Will studied illustration and printmaking at Harrow College, University of Westminster.
After an early career in bookselling, he became a full-time printmaker and tutor.
Will specialises in woodcut and linocuts, creating limited edition prints. Much of his work is inspired by rural life and history. His background in illustration continues to guide his design method; finding narratives in his printed subjects.
A Sussex based artist; Will teaches regular print workshops in Chichester in addition to classes, demonstrations and talks across the region.
He is a regular tutor for the Weald & Downland Living Museum, focusing on Historical printing and he has also taught for the National Trust and Pallant House Gallery.
For several years, Will with his wife and fellow printmaker Nicki, organised the annual Printmakers’ Exhibition at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester.
They now hold an annual open studio exhibition at their workshop, showing new work alongside artwork by their students.
You can see their prints on display in the Barn Emporium, Durleighmarsh Farm, near Petersfield.
