Characterful Painting - loosen up with pen and watercolour
Louise Turpin is a local graphic designer, illustrator, artist and educator. She works in many different media but especially pen and watercolour as well as painting in oils and acrylics. Louise is a PACS Committee Member and has been organising the PACS artist demonstration programme for 7 years. She very much enjoys meeting local artists and crafts people. She loves to sketch and paint outside and in nature, especially by the sea. She has a loose and fresh painting style, preferring energy, colour, character and movement to static accuracy. Louise teaches local art groups on a variety of subjects and is looking forward to returning to PACS at the Triangle Centre in January to share her experience with dynamic pen and watercolour painting.
THIS WORKSHOP IS SUITABLE FOR ALL ABILITIES, INCLUDNIG BEGINNERS
Have you ever felt you would like to inject some fun and energy into your watercolour painting? Then this is the workshop for you! Louise Turpin, local graphic designer, illustrator, artist and educator will be returning to the Triangle Leisure Centre on the 11th January to show us how to loosen up our pen and brush strokes, free up our mark-making and brighten up our pen and watercolour paintings. The morning will consist of confidence-building exercises, hints and tips on materials, techniques, building your sketchbooks, painting en plein air and how to ensure a good outcome every time using a free and loose painting style. The afternoon will bring together all your practice into creating your own final piece.
