We are a society of amateur and professional artists and craftspeople committed to promoting arts and crafts in the Petersfield area. Our workshops, talks and demonstrations are open to everyone. Members are able to exhibit in the annual exhibition held on the August Bank Holiday weekend at the Festival Hall in Petersfield.
Tomorrow is the first day of a group exhibition at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester where three PACS artists are taking part. Caroline Strong and Helen Thair are showing a selection of their paintings and Katrin Eagle is showing some wool-art originals as well as woven scarves and printed wool-art gifts. This is a varied exhibition by several local artists and provides a great opportunity for some Christmas shopping.
Admission is free and there is a convenient pay & display car park at the gallery.
This month on Thursday October 27th, 7:30pm, at Herne Farm Leisure Centre, Petersfield. £2 for guests.
Katrin is a wool artist and designer who moved to Petersfield two years ago. She will be talking about how her work has evolved through various areas of design, focusing on the processing of wool by hand for use in spinning and weaving and the use of dry felting techniques to create pictures.
There will be lots of materials, sketchbooks and examples to share with those who want to have a go at trying needle felting techniques.
